At the YMCA of Greater Whittier, we understand what makes our community great, and we know what it needs to become even greater.
After all, we have spent the last 100 years partnering with the community to build a better you, a better future and a better us.
As a nonprofit community leader we are dedicated to providing community benefit and making a positive impact. We could not deliver the mission of our organization without the generosity of our donors, volunteers and community partners.
Each year, the Annual Campaign raises critical funds to support members and others in our community! Gifts to the Annual Campaign do everything from keeping our lights and pools pristine at our branches and YMCA Camp Arbolado to securing funds for financial assistance. One of our greatest aspirations in life is to leave a mark-to make a difference.
A gift or pledge of $25,000 is a minimum for membership in the Heritage Club, with special recognition given to those who give $50,000 (Anniversary Club) and $100,000 or more (Century Club). The Heritage Club meets annually to have dinner, share fellowship, and to welcome new members into the club.
The members of the YMCA of Greater Whittier Heritage Club are as diverse as our great community. All members, however, share a common belief in the need to build a stronger future through the work of the YMCA. Their vision for the YMCA and the health of our community extends beyond their own lifetimes. These members recognize that the YMCA will play a critical role in the future lives of youth and families, so they are investing in that future through outright and planned gifts to the YMCA Endowment Fund.
The Heritage Club is a particular group of friends who believe in the purpose and values of the YMCA. They want to ensure a better tomorrow for our society’s children, youth and families, especially those in need.
Heritage Club members plan their gifts to generate endowment funds at The YMCA of Greater Whittier. Contributions of The Heritage Club members build the Endowment Fund. These funds are invested for long-term income and growth, and a portion of the investment income and growth fund YMCA programs each year. If you qualify as a Heritage Club member, please contact us so we can recognize you and invite you to our recognition dinner each year.
