NOW OPEN INDOORS
We are pleased to be able to offer a selection of indoor & outdoor group exercise classes at both our Uptown and East Whittier locations. Classes will be taught by our instructor Amanda Perez and take place daily with an alternating schedule. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are held outdoors on the tennis courts nearest our building. Tuesdays & Thursdays are held indoors in our group exercise studio.
Members must make a reservation via our website, YMCA of Greater Whittier App (Available in the App store / Google Play Store), or in-house at our front desks. Upon arrival, check-in at the welcome desk is required. Please bring your own mat, towel and water bottle as we are unable to provide equipment at this time. Thank you!
Our schedule and offerings at this time daily are as follows:
7:30-8:30 AM Zumba: Join the party that combines Latin and international music with dance moves! This fun aerobic workout alternates fast and slow dance rhythms for an interval training workout that feels more like a dance party!
8:30-9:30 AM Pilates: An overall toning and sculpting class that targets the deepest layers of muscle. Emphasis is placed on core muscle strength using precise movements initiated from the center of the body.
5:30-6:30 PM Strong: **AVAILABLE AT OUR UPTOWN LOCATION STARTING MAY 2021**
Get stronger with this demanding High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class that syncs body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves to music. Squat, lunge, pushup and burpee to the music!
These programs and everything else the Y does are in service of making us—our Ys and our communities—better. The result is a country that values health and communities that support healthy choices.
