The YMCA of Greater Whittier is committed to providing our community with a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn, grow, and develop.
Our YMCA Early Learning Center curriculum creates a safe, nurturing environment for families and children to grow together. Our goal is to assist children in developing their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills while preparing for a sound educational future. Our Preschool Program includes theme-based centers, school readiness, arts and crafts, music and movement, arts and crafts, cooking and physical activities. We feel it is just as important to develop the individual, as we do with teaching the ABCs and 123s. Our students learn the importance of respecting others, build positive relationships with peers and adults, develop social norms, and discover the benefits of making healthy choices. As they grow, we hope that they are prepared socially, mentally, and physically not just for kindergarten, but for the rest of their lives.
What we provide in our early learner program:
- Licensed program
- Infant and Toddler programs (6 weeks – 2 years of age)
- Early Learner Programs (2 – 5 years old)
- Professional and caring staff
- Low teacher to child ratio
- Healthy meals and snacks included
- Year-Round Program
Rates and Schedules
All rates are charged weekly. A non-refundable registration fee is required to hold your place.
