At the YMCA of Greater Whittier, you’ll find group exercise classes for all ages, all levels and all interests.

We are pleased to be able to offer a selection of indoor group exercise classes at both our Uptown Whittier YMCA & East Whittier YMCA locations. Check out our schedule for class times, dates, and location.

Class Descriptions

Zumba: Join the party that combines Latin and international music with dance moves! This fun aerobic workout alternates fast and slow dance rhythms for an interval training workout that feels more like a dance party!

Pilates: An overall toning and sculpting class that targets the deepest layers of muscle. Emphasis is placed on core muscle strength using precise movements initiated from the center of the body.

Total Body Conditioning: Conditioning combines weight with low-impact aerobics interval training to tone and strengthen the total body. Light to moderate weights will be used to target specific muscles groups during the strength portion of the class. Prepare to leave energized and exhilarated- weight and aerobics interval are set to music designed to propel you through the workout. Weight equipment available or feel free to bring your own weight. Participants will control the weights used in this class, so all levels of fitness are welcome.
